BC Rich WMD Warbeast
BC Rich beginner guitars
are high quality, hard rocking instruments for the beginning guitarist. When you're starting out
you don't need high dollar professional instruments and equipment but you do need quality equipment at an affordable price. BC Rich
beginner guitars fill this need perfectly. BC Rich offers guitars for every taste, providing guitar shapes that range from conservative
to the wildly extreme Heavy Metal weapons.
BC Rich has been a leader in the manufacture of high quality guitars and a favorite of professional Metal musicians since the early 1980's. I'm calling the
guitars I'm presenting here beginner guitars but they would be more appropriately called entry level guitars. Most of these BC Rich beginner
guitars can be purchased for under $300 but don't let the price fool you. These are all solid, high quality, great sounding, great looking
and great playing guitars. Check out the toys and enjoy.

Although the BC Rich ASM 1 is one of the BC Rich beginner guitar models it doesn't stint on looks, features or construction. It features
a basswood body with a flat top and an arm bevel for comfort. The neck is bolt-on made of maple with a 24 jumbo fret, rosewood fretboard
with diamond position inlays. The headstock is BC Rich's 6-in-line pointed style with BC Rich die-cast tuners.
For great sonic possibilities, the BC Rich ASM 1 has a 25 1/2 inch scale length, a growling tone provide by two BC Rich BDSM humbucking pickups and a

a look at.
- ASM Standard
Click Image For A Larger View
The BC Rich ASM Standard is by no means "standard" even though its name contains the word. Bred to shred is the phrase that comes to mind.
Price wise the ASM Standard may be in the price range that I class as being "beginner level" but its features are not.
The BC Rich ASM Standard features a mahogany body with a quilted maple top for great looks and tone, a bolt-on maple neck with a 24 jumbo fret fretboard and
a 6-inl-ine pointed headstock with BC Rich die-cast tuners.
If you want serious Heavy Metal sonic mayhem, you've got it. The BC Rich ASM Standard boasts two Rockfield Mafia pickups and let me tell you from personal experience
that Rockfields kick some serious sonic butt(my WMD Warbeast uses Rockfields - it's a face melter). The ASM Standard's bridge is a Floyd Rose Special tremolo. To finish things off, the volume control,
tone control and pickup selector switch are chrome. I've heard these guitars in action and even though they are in the price range that I class as
a BC Rich beginner guitar, I can guarantee you that BC Rich ASM Standard doesn't know it's a "beginner guitar". This one is a little above
the $300 price point but it's well worth it.
- Warlock One

The BC Rich Warlock One is an entry level but by no means shoddy instrument. The body of the guitar is agathis
which, although an inexpensive wood, produces a nice tone. The neck construction is bolt-on. The neck material is maple with
the back of the neck being natural satin. The fretboard is rosewood with 24 jumbo frets. The Warlock Guitar's headstock is the

BDSM humbucking pickups - one at the bridge and one at the neck. To round out the package, the Warlock Guitar is fitted with chrome hardware
and painted glossy black. All in all, this a great, relatively inexpensive BC Rich beginner guitar.

The BC Rich Revenge Warlock is another mid-range model. The technical specifications of the guitar are the same as for the Kerry King
Metal Master with a couple of differences. The bridge is a Tune-O-Matic with a stop bar tailpiece rather than a wraparound bridge.
The color scheme is either white with black binding or onyx with white binding with the headstock painted to match. The neck is maple rather than
rose wood. In addition, the headstock is the Widow style.
The BC Rich Revenge Warlock is another cool looking, good sounding and playing guitar that would make a good choice
for the beginning to intermediate player.
- Virgin VG1

The BC Rich Virgin VG1 is a great looking, great playing and great sounding guitar. The Virgin VG1 has an agathis body for a nice, warm tone and a

and has a 25 1/2inch scale length. Even though the BC Rich Virgin VG1 falls in the price range that I consider to be a BC Rich beginner guitar level,
this is not a guitar to be taken lightly. If you want Metal, here it is.
- Masterpiece Bich
Click Image For A Larger View
The BC Rich Masterpiece Bich is not only one of the most unique looking guitars on the market, it's also one of the first BC Rich extreme
shapes ever created(Dave Mustaine of Megadeth played one of the original models durings his days with Metallica). The Masterpiece Bich has an agathis body with a AAA,
quilted veneer arched top and white binding. Its maple neck is of bolt-on construction with a 24 jumbo fret, rosewood fretboard with cloud styled position inlays and a traditionally styled,
three tuners to a side headstock with white binding. The tuners are BC Rich die-cast tuners.
The BC Rich Masterpiece Bich is a great sounding guitar, deriving its sound from two BC Rich BDSM humbucking pickups, a Tune-O-Matic bridge and
string-thru-body construction for added tone and sustain. Rounding out the package is chrome hardware. Regardless of the fact that the Masterpiece Bich
falls in the price range that I consider to be BC Rich beginner guitar level, you'll be getting more for your money than you would with many
guitars costing twice as much.
- Ironbird 1
Click Image For A Larger View
The BC Rich Ironbird 1 has one of the shapes that I consider to be one of the best looking shapes for any Metal guitar. Strap one of these on and there will be no doubt
about what you're there for(if you were around in the day, you could have seen Paul Stanley of KISS playing one of the original models). The
Ironbird 1's jagged, edgy shape just flat out screams HEAVY METAL!!!!
The jagged, lightning bolt shaped body is basswood with a beveled top. Its maple neck is bolt-on with a rosewood, 24 jumbo fret fretboard with dot inlays and a 6-in-line pointed headstock
with BC Rich die-cast tuners.
The BC Rich Ironbird 1 gets its ripping, Metal sound from two high output BC Rich BDSM humbucking pickups and a Tune-O-Matic bridge. It also sports
chrome hardware for volume, tone and pickup selection. This is another BC Rich beginner guitar that delivers and delivers BIG TIME!

Now here is one of my personal favorites of all the BC Rich guitar shapes. The BC Rich Celtic Virgo looks more like a weapon than
a guitar.
The BC Rich Celtic Virgo features a beveled, nato mahogany body and a bolt-on rosewood, 24 jumbo fret fretboard with Celtic Knot inlays and
a Beast headstock.
The BC Rich Celtic Virgo blasts out the sound from two high output BC Rich BDSM humbucking pickups. Adding to the tonal onslaught is
a wrap-around, fixed bridge. To round out the look, the Celtic Virgo sports pewter, Celtic design hardware. This is one BC Rich beginner guitar
that doesn't know its a beginner guitar.
If the ancient Celts had had one of these to use for marching music the Romans would have run all the way back to Rome
with their tails between their legs.
- Masterpiece Mockingbird

The Mockingbird is one of the very first BC Rich Metal guitars created and the Masterpiece Mockingbird carries on the tradition masterfully.
The BC Rich Masterpiece Mockingbird features an agathis body with a AA quilted veneer maple arched top. The bolt-on maple neck has a
24 jumbo fret, rosewood fretboard with pearl cloud inlays and a traditional three-to-a-side headstock with BC Rich die-cast tuners. The body, neck and headstock all

BC Rich beginner guitar that will look, sound and play like you paid a professional price for it.
- Avenge SOB

Now here is a guitar that looks like it was spawned by a dragon. This is one of the most aggressive looking guitars you
will ever see. This thing was designed to breathe Heavy Metal fire.
The BC Rich Avenge SOB features a red beveled basswood body with a bolt-on maple neck with a 24 jumbo fret rosewood fretboard with
red beast inlays and a Beast headstock with red edges. The body also is outlined in red.

This is another BC Rich beginner guitar that doesn't know it's a beginner guitar.
Grab one of these beasties and ROAR!!!!
- Warbeast One
Click Image For A Larger View

inlays. The headstock is the SOB(Son of Beast) style. The Warbeast One has a Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru-body tailpiece construction

The specifications on the BC Rich Trace Warbeast are virtually identical to the Trace Warbeast T
with only a couple of exceptions.
The neck and body construction are the same as the Trace Warbeast T, however, the bridge is a Tunomatic rather than a tremolo. In addition,
the Trace Warbeast features a string-thru-body construction which provides great tone and sustain.
The Trace Warbeast features the same color scheme as the Trace Warbeast T for a very cool, sinister look. All in all, the BC Rich Trace
Warbeast is a great BC Rich beginner guitar with a great sound and high quality construction and materials.
-
TWBSTO Trace Warbeast

When it comes to extreme and aggressive shapes, it's tough to top BC Rich.
The BC Rich TWBSTO Trace Warbeast combines elements of the Warlock and the Beast
to create a dangerous new breed of guitar.
The TWBSTO Trace Warbeast features a basswood body and a bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fretboard.
Thru-body stringing provides strong sustain, a tight, punchy sound and feel. Two high-output
BC Rich humbuckers dish out the fire-breathing tone you crave, and a radically-styled Beast
headstock adds the finishing touches to this monster.
Watch out - this is one wicked BC Rich beginner guitar!
- Blood Bound Warbeast
Click Image For A Larger View
If Dracula played Heavy Metal guitar, the BC Rich Blood Bound Warbeast is the guitar he would have strapped over his shoulder.
The specifications of the Blood Bound Warbeast are the same as those for the Trace Warbeast except for the color scheme.
The Blood Bound Warbeast sports blood red pinstriping and fret inlays giving it one of the most sinister appearances that you will

night!
To finish up, if you want a beginner guitar that gives you the quality of materials, workmanship, playability and sound of
a much higher level guitar, give a BC Rich beginner guitar a look.
