Jackson bass guitars are definitely born to rock. Constructed with the same quality of craftsmanship, materials and components as their six string Jackson brothers, Jackson basses deliver all the playability and thundering tone that any bassist could ask for. Jackson's Concert bass was born in the 1980's during the same period that saw the birth of Jackson's famous Kelly, Dinky, King V and Soloist models. If you are interested in the history of Jackson Guitars, you can find it here.
Like Jackson's six string guitars, Jackson bass guitars are both tough and built for speed. In addition, Jackson basses are built from tonewoods that deliver deep, rich sound and use fixed bridges that contribute to great sustain and tone. Finally, the pickups used on Jackson basses deliver blistering sound as well as also contributing to great sustain and tone. All in all, Jackson bass guitars are every bit as Heavy Metal as their six string Jackson brothers. If you're a Heavy Metal bassist, Jackson basses are the place for you to go.
Over the years, Jackson has made many bass guitar models such as the Kelly bass, custom Rhoads, etc. but currently offer only the Concert Series which consists of the C20 and CMG as well as two artist models, the Chris Beattie Signature model and the John Campbell Signature model.
The C20 Concert Bass Guitar from Jackson features a contoured Indian cedro body and a
flamed maple veneer with trans finishes. It has bolt-on maple neck with Indian rosewood
fingerboard, Jackson JB100J bridge and JN100P neck pickups, a fixed bridge, and chrome hardware.
Specifications:
The Jackson CMG Concert Bass Guitar has an alder body with a bolt-on maple neck.
It is equipped with EMG pickups and an active BEQ3 preamp for vast control of tone.
The rosewood neck is especially easy to play with a compound radius of 12" to 14".
It also features die-cast mini tuners, black hardware, shark fin inlays and 22 jumbo
frets. Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for
easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends
without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better bass!

hardware complete this professional bass package. Jackson artist instruments are built to handle the
hard life of the road and are ready to take whatever gets thrown at them.
